ChineseToday | "Post-2000" docent interprets revolutionary history in Shanxi

(250809) -- WUXIANG, Aug. 9, 2025 (Xinhua) -- Zhen Rui practices for interpretation work at the Taihang Memorial Museum of the Eighth Route Army in Wuxiang County of Changzhi City, north China's Shanxi Province, Aug. 7, 2025. The Taihang Memorial Museum of the Eighth Route Army is located in Wuxiang County, the former site of China's Eighth Route Army Headquarters during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, in north China's Shanxi Province.

Zhen Rui, a "post-2000" girl born in an old revolutionary base area of Lucheng in Shanxi, has worked as a docent at the museum since graduating from college in 2023.

Zhen has spent her spare time memorizing and studying a wealth of literature to expand her knowledge. As the youngest of the museum's 22 docents, she has actively sought guidance from senior docents and has striven to innovate her interpretation style. Zhen has achieved excellent results in local interpretation skill competitions.

During two years of work, Zhen has received over ten thousand visitors. In addition to giving interpretation at the museum, she has also visited schools and rural areas to share the stories of revolutionary history.
