(250625) -- BENXI, June 25, 2025 (Xinhua) -- This photo taken on May 19, 2025 shows the ruins of a military camp once used by anti-Japanese troops led by Yang Jingyu in the upper reaches of the Jiadaozi River in the city of Benxi, northeast China's Liaoning Province. Archaeologists in northeast China's Liaoning Province have identified the ruins of a military camp once used by anti-Japanese troops led by Yang Jingyu, a renowned general during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

The discovery was made during a recent survey conducted by the provincial institute of cultural relics and archaeology in the upper reaches of the Jiadaozi River in the city of Benxi. The site functioned as one of the headquarters for the first route army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army.
