TOKYO, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changes hands around the 104.49 yen level in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 104.49-54 yen compared with 104.48-58 yen in New York at 5 p.m. Monday.

Banks and the U.S. Treasury market were closed on Monday due to a national holiday.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1843-1843 dollars and 123.78-79 yen against 1.1836-1846 dollars and 123.74-84 yen in New York late Monday afternoon.
