Bangkok, SANA- Syria's Olympic U-23 football team qualified to Asia Cup quarter-finals though it lost 0-1 to its Saudi counterpart in a match held Wednesday within the Asian finals' round of groups.

The Saudi team scored its goal in the 80th minute through Firas al-Brekan.

The Syrian team occupied the second place of the group with 5 points after Saudi Arabia with 8 points, Qatar came third with 3 points and Japan came in the bottom with 1 point.

Syria will meet Australia in the quarter-finals.
